A Hover Jack and Hover Matt were purchased in late 2019 as a result of a generous grant received by the Culpeper Wellness Foundation. This equipment promotes EMS provider safety, as well as patient safety, while moving patients to a stretcher. The equipment assists moving a patient from a bed, the floor, etc. It is designed to lift the patient to the height of a stretcher and provide an air bearing not unlike a hovercraft under the matt for ease of motion. It can even be used to move a patient safely down a flight of stairs.

Seen in the picture are Devon S. and Bryan Z. training with the system with patient John F.

For more information or a demonstration of the system, please contact Billy Hamm at chief@reva16.org.
